55 years......wow where have those years and that hair gone!!
We have had our trials but if I could have that time over again, I don't think I would want to do it any differently!
Cheers........Rob.
Beautiful photograph @Robin4 and so many congratulations to you and Ade! 🎊 If my maths is correct 🤔, you got married in 1971?
Thank you for sharing this wonderful moment with us. Happy Emerald Anniversary! 💚🎊💚
Wow .. you made me smile @Robin4 They also said, one picture is worth 1000 words. Keep the flame burning strong
@Robin4 I'm not sure how I missed this post earlier, what an incredible milestone for you two! Did you do anything to mark the occasion with the rest of the family?

Hi Emilie, both our girls live in another state so a family celebration was not possible. We did have some close friends in for a meal to help us celebrate which was great.
We feel like we have stood the test of time Emilie, Ade developed MS 4 years after we married and there have been times when that has been hard to cope with. She lost her sight temporarily a couple of times, pressure on the optic nerve from an MS attack, once for 6 weeks.
When you have clean your partner when they have been to the toilet you wonder just how much personal dignity does one have to lose in life!. But through it all we have become stronger, we have two lovely daughters and 4 wonderful grand children. and we have had a wonderful life.
I took a year off in 1980 and built my own house from the ground up, brick by brick......
We have visited 34 different countries! I have pushed Ade in a wheelchair on the Great Wall of China.....
Marveled at the 9th wonder of the world, the Sanctuary of Truth in Thailand......
Been to Radio City Music Hall in New York.......
I have eyeballed an Emperor......
We probably never would have done these things if Ade had not got MS. All through our lives we are slaves to our existence, our reaction is 'Yeah one day I will do that, when we have the house paid off, the new SUV in the garage. the kids through school'....but all of a sudden a personal catastrophe happens and you realise, Things come and go, but memories are forever....and that is when you turn your life around and live for each day.
I look at that photo of me helping Ade out of the wedding car and the first thing I see is that look of love in our eyes, and that's still there Emilie.
Cheers........Rob.
You have heaps of wonderful memories banked there, and still some to be made @Robin4 ... yours and Ade's story really inspires me to make the most of every minute I spend with my husband -we're only (almost) 10 years in, but I can only hope we get to live through as many adventures as you did together!
