Travelling in 3 days, money taken & no response from host!

We've booked a boat accommodation in Stratford upon Avon for this weekend,  received a receipt, our money taken but have had no response to our questions & zero communication from the host.  No idea what the exact address is so won't be going. This is obviously a scam but Airbnb have done nothing to help.  There appears to be an automated message from them saying that our issue has been passed on to a dedicated team as a matter of urgency.  It's been  a week now, we're booked for the 23rd  so it's clearly not urgent to them at all! No idea what to do. Any ideas??

@Mehjabeen1 Did you book and pay via Airbnb?

Yes

@Mehjabeen1  How are you trying to contact Airbnb?  I would use all options: 1) chat function, so there is a hard record of your issues, 2) phone, 3) twitter & Facebook.

Airbnb appears to be swamped right now, but I would have expected an upcoming reservation where the guest can't reach the host would be a priority.

You should have the exact address as part of your reservation confirmation along with a phone number for the hosts.  If you don't have an address, that would be really out of the ordinary if you did pay through airbnb.

@Mehjabeen1  Just to be clear- you say money was taken- when you book through Airbnb, the charge is made by Airbnb, not the host, and the host doesn't get paid until 24 hours after the guest checks in. If you paid by any other method than Airbnb charging the payment method you have on file with them, you may have been scammed, which is why another poster asked if you could post the URL to this listing, so we could check if it's a real Airbnb listing.

@Mehjabeen1  when you book you should see the full address and also a contact number for the host.

Is it showing as a listing that has self-check-in? If so Airbnb normally sends you instructions three days before check-in.

In your situation as the host hasn't responded to messages on the platform, I would give them a call.
