What is the weirdest Guest Complaint you have had?

As hosts, a big portion of our job is communicating with guests and meeting their needs.  We all receive requests that seem rather unusual, and I would love to know what your weirdest request or complaint has been? 

Recently, someone complained that our toilet seat wasn't comfortable enough...... It is just the standard one out there on the home depot market....

@Beth4390 I love these kinds of threads. The answers are often so funny.

I don't know if I can narrow down one "weirdest" so I will share a few.

In keeping with the toilet theme, we had a very cranky and very large man who complained that the toilet seat "shifted" when he sat on it. 

We had a guest complain that our space wasn't haunted. And another that it was "not in the middle of a farm field." Neither of these are advertised as features of our space.

We had a guest complain that he couldn't walk barefoot in the yard because of sticks and rocks that hurt his feet.

But my all time favorite complaint was that one of the light switches didn't turn anything on. The guest was going around counting the light switches, looking at the electrical box and fuses, tracing where things went and he just could not figure it out. Who spends their vacation doing that??

@Laura2592Oh one of my Airbnb Mentors had a house that had a few guests say they had heard things or suggest was haunted. Then they had another guest do a ceremony in the house which 'of course' resulted in a broken toilet but the evil spirits were released. 

They never had anyone mention anything after that....

@Laura2592 You do win the prize for weirdest guests. Light switch guest reminds me of your guest who did the ‘white glove’ test in your place, and then also the one who repotted  and pruned your plants. I mean, who goes on vacation with all of those things top of mind?

@Colleen253 the plant repotter was an otherwise very sweet guest but she ended up killing my plants. I went out and got some impatiens and posted on Instagram.  She follows me and wrote to me about how to care for them....

You could tell him that the switch is an installed spare. An engineer would buy that.

Or perhaps it goes to an invisible lamp in the ghost’s invisible bedroom.

One of our guests complained about not being able to sleep with OPEN windows bc she heard people and cars passing by. ( Our apartment is in the very center of the Croatian capital and the windows are facing the street. I don't know what she expected )

We have three TV sets. I got a complaint that one wasn't high definition. To be fair to the guest,the other two TVs were new and high def.

To be fair I have no idea if my own TV is high definition or not

@Ann783  We also had a Guest Complain that there wasn't a TV in the bedroom, while we did have TV's throughout the rest of the house.

@Ann783 One guest complained that I only had 4 tvs at the house and only two were large!!! I do not even have that many tvs at my own house!
