What’s the best place you’ve ever visited?

Hello everyone,

We all have a destination that lingers in our memory, be it a specific city or village, a quiet mountain retreat, tropical island, or even a spot not far from home.

Personally, one place I’ll never forget is Suraj Tal lake, India. It's the third-highest lake in India and the 21st highest in the world. As you can see the view is breath taking! 😍

I'd also love to hear about your travel adventures and some of your favourite travel destinations!  Tell us in one word or sentence, 👉What’s the best place you’ve ever visited?  (Your photos are welcome📸)

As September 27th marks World Tourism Day, it’s a perfect time to share your favourite travel destinations with us! 📖

Looking forward to reading your comments!

Warm regards,
Bhumika

@Jeanna27 All lovely places from what I've heard! Did these cities have something in common that made them particularly memorable?

They truly are absolutely beautiful places and so much history!!!  Friendly people, and fabulous food!  Amsterdam is very European - meaning you literally see people from all over Europe - just great experiences!

@Jeanna27 Everyone needs to visit Florence in their lifetime.

I have heard only amazing things about Amsterdam, but I have never been!

Hi @Morgan857 , I have heard that Florence is famous for its delicious, must-try local foods. Did you get a chance to sample any traditional dishes while you were there? 😋

One of my favourites 😋  We try to cook Gnocchi at home, but it of course doesn't taste as good as the local one!

Do you recommend or vouch for a specific restaurant or food place to have the best Gnocchi in Florence? 😍

@Dale1242 Are you a history buff? I had not heard of Fort Morgan before, it looks like an interesting spot, and with the Gulf shores not too far from it you can easily mix a bit of coastal fun and a bit of learning all in one trip 😃

@Kolibrie-Huis--LLC0 This is such a picturesque area, I actually have a jigsaw puzzle in its image 😊 The weather looks stunning, did you go over the Summer months or is it dreamy all year-around?

Best-Guide-to-Rwenzori-Mountains-National-Park-960x550.pngimages.jpeg

Visiting Rwenzori Mountains National Park is an unforgettable adventure filled with breathtaking scenery, unique wildlife, and rich cultural experiences. Located in western Uganda along the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, the park is home to the legendary “Mountains of the Moon,” known for their snow-capped peaks and lush vegetation.

The journey begins with stunning views of rolling hills and farmlands before entering the park’s misty forests. Hikers are treated to an incredible diversity of landscapes — from bamboo and tropical rainforests to alpine meadows and glaciers. Along the way, visitors can spot rare plants like giant lobelias and groundsel, as well as animals such as blue monkeys, three-horned chameleons, and various bird species.

Trekking the Rwenzori is both challenging and rewarding. Reaching Margherita Peak, Africa’s third-highest point, gives travelers a true sense of accomplishment and awe. Even shorter hikes offer a chance to enjoy waterfalls, crystal-clear streams, and panoramic views of the mountains.

Beyond nature, the park’s surrounding communities offer cultural encounters, including traditional dances, storytelling, and local crafts. The hospitality of the Bakonzo people makes the experience even more special.

Overall, the Rwenzori National Park experience combines adventure, beauty, and culture — a perfect destination for nature lovers and explorers seeking a truly unique African mountain experience.
