Big thanks to @Stephanie and @Lizzie for tonight's shindig in London. Great food, drinks and company. An ace evening and lovely to meet hosts from across the UK.
PS. Laura - I promise I didn't steal a mug.
I'll make a Vicky sponge. But no wine, please!
Well, maybe a little, @Paul1255,...
It was soo nice to see you on Saturday evening @Gordon0 and to meet Jorge. It was such a lovely evening. I had some leftovers for my dinner last night...I hope you took some too! 🙂
....You did look a little suspicious about those mugs! hehe :)...we know what to get you for your birthday!

Hey @Roberta2,
Lovely to hear from you.
This event was to specially thank long long long time Superhosts in the UK, so unfortunately the invite list was slightly out of my hands I am afraid.
It would have been lovely to see you and as you may have seen earlier in this thread, we are thinking of hosting a CC gathering in early April (if the current coronavirus situation allows us)....with cake! You will of course be high on the invite list for this.
It would be so nice to see you and I'm sorry about this one.
Lizzie

You had me at Cake 🙂 @Lizzie
I will be there! I will bring a tiramisu, paying homage to my Italian background.
...amazing @Roberta2 ! I wish it was tomorrow 🙂 : )

How many of you know that some of the more notable Liquor brands have had there 200, 170 year anniversaries around this time and in the last year or 2?
Those sage people before us who knew the healthy benefits of Botanicals in our lives!!
ooo @Helen427 I didn't know this, but thinking about it yes makes sense!
I remember reading somewhere about how the Gin and Tonic was created for health benefits- can't remember the details tho 🙂
Gin was the cheapest, strongest bevvy you could get in Victorian London - the choice of Jack the Ripper @Paul1255 (can you tell I hate Gin?)
Well Aldi is doing a lot of fusion stuff that allegedly hides its natural paint thinner taste. Shame I can't try it for a few months yet :') @Paul1255
