Hi, I'm planning my next vacation, and I and my family are evaluating Airbnb, but we are somewhat concerned about this issue and how this may impact a booking made 7 months earlier.

Some host/guests reported this :

AIRBNB

renting is illegal in this building.

If you rented through airbnb you must leave this building or you will be escorted out by the police.

we would be grateful for your comments and recommendations. Thanks!!

I would contact airbnb (via twtter) and explain the situation, and that you want to find a substitute airbnb listing for your trip, but you don't want a penalty for cancelling the current booking.
