Wondering whether any other hosts who have sent in renewals for their Short Term Housing Registration with the City are still waiting for a response.
I sent in my renewal along with a check 2 months ago. I've heard nothing from the Planning Department. I've made several calls to the office and visited once to follow up. They do not return phone calls and the person I spoke to at the desk was unable to tell me anything. 2 weeks ago he suggested I just wait another 2 weeks.
We're getting close to the Airbnb cutoff for registering, so I'm getting frustrated.
Thanks in advance for sharing anything you know.
Since you are looking for responses from other San Francisco hosts, @David, it might be good for you to connect with the SF Home Sharing Club. Check out Home Sharing Clubs under Discuss on this site. Hope this helps.
I got an e-mail from their office today telling me they're very backed up with a big deluge of applications, to be patient, that they're working on it, and to just keep hosting as normal until I receive the registration.
HI All - When you say renewal, do you mean registration? I am registering for the first time and curious to see how long it will take. Also, when you say mail in the check, Airbnb sets it up online, where you register online. Is that what you are referring to?
We're on pins and needles....did you get your renewal yet? As you probably know by now, Airbnb was given a deadline to disallow anyone using the site to remain if they were not licensed, so a big rush happened at the end of the year and thousands of hosts were booted off. It doesn'st help that the STR staff is only 6 people. My renewal is due in September, perhaps I should just send mine in early....
Does everyone report their quarterly stays?
Im weary that my renewal will be denied bc I forgot to submit most of them. Eek!
