Short term let strata restrictions sydney

Hi, My strata is restricting me from running Airbnb in sydney region. what can I do with it? Could anyone please help?

Hi Lee,

We are in a similar situation as well. It depends on what zoning your property is located in. If it is zoned as residential, then you are unable to host. However, please see below link with the most recent news to airbnb policies in Sydney:

The current legal position in my view,  is that the Strata Schemes MAnagement act prohibits and owners corporation from limiting an owners right to let their property on a long or short term basis.

Any by law seeking to do this will be unlawful. There is now caselaw supporting this argument.
