AIRBNB NEEDS HOST ARBITRATION! Stop treating hosts like garbage.

Anyone find Airbnb's treatment of hosts overall significantly below par?   Ever feel like the guest is treated like gold, but the host who's home they stay is treated by airbnb as more of an annoyance or more of hinderance?   Maybe its the over an hour customer service wait time ... make that 1.32 min , 30 sec question answered...(guests are responded to immediately) , or the very considerate, "24 hour chat response".  The airbnb community should have a voice in the following and even be placed in a group with the ability of forced arbitration between hosts and the company!   Cancellations?  (there are times when a cancellation is required and there should be a group of hosts that determine if that reason is valid and understandable,  not airbnb.) Response to claims? (Host is immediately guilty until they prove innocence. ) Investigation into guest issues?  (same) Refund judgement and disbursement?  (appeals, evidence and court up to airbnb always in favor of guests)  Garbage reviews (Host based procedure to appeal with and have a process to remove reviews, one run by hosts.) Simply put...  Hosts need better representation in this company.   Guests arent airbnb. The host is.  Im personally tired of their confusion.  What says you?

@David7294 Airbnb already allows arbitration and small claims court cases. If you are so aggrieved then use the tools available to you.

I complete disagree with your suggestions @David7294

1. cancellation policies are there for a reason - of course you can't have a random groups of hosts make arbitrary decisions around making exceptions to the policy

2 airbnb absolutely need to improve their process for managing claims but again not by having random hosts interfere with the process

airbnb is simply a marketing channel for your STR business

and you are wrong without guests you wouldn't have bookings through Airbnb
