Hi Everyone, lately I have been trying to brainstorm some creative ways to add value for potential guests. I noticed on Outdoorsy they offer the option to add special "packages" to their offerings. These can include items such as a "smores packages" where the host builds a basket with items to make smores, or a "new years" package that includes poppers and Martinellis. Is there someway to do this with Airbnb?

If the package is low-cost (like a welcome basket or s'mores kit), the simplest way is to include it as a standard, premium amenity.

  • How to List It: Mention it clearly in your listing description and caption your photos with the offering (e.g., "Complimentary Firepit S'mores Kit Included"). This helps justify your nightly rate.

2. The Paid Upsell Approach (Separate Charge)

For anything optional that guests pay extra for (like a specialised basket or a wine selection), you need to process the payment separately.

  • How to List It: Create an attractive photo of the package. Use that photo slot to display a price card overlaying the image: "Optional Birthday Package: £45."

  • How to Charge It: The guest requests the package via messaging after booking. You then send a Resolution Centre Request for the extra amount (£45) prior to their arrival. This is the official way to process payments for optional services on the platform.

The Resolution Centre request is the designated method for handling these optional add-ons.

Hello @Michael10285,

I provide, at random, these things.  It just depends on my mood and the guest.  Especially if it is a return guest.  I've done smores, I've done ice cream sandwich making supplies, I've done tea and cookies, and sometimes if I know it's a birthday celebration or anniversary trip I'll send flowers or an amazon gift package.  Nothing very expensive mostly under $20 usd but something that makes them mention it on the review and then others see it.  I call it a "surprise and delight" moment.  It truly is a surprise, because not everyone will get it.  Charging for it seems, meh.
