Hey @Liam2676,
@Helen3's absolutely right. When using your property for short-term rentals like Airbnb, you may need a specific type of mortgage called a holiday let mortgage or a buy-to-let mortgage.
Obviously it will depend on your location. An independent mortgage broker should be able to recommend holiday let mortgages @Liam2676

Speak to holidaycottagemortgages - they are experts in this area and helped me out many times!
Holiday Let Mortgages are their own special type of loan, different from residential and different from Buy to Let. Most mortgage brokers don't understand them, so you should speak with a company that specialises in then, like Holiday Cottage Mortgages.
Good luck!

Do you have a connection with holiday cottage mortgages I can see you've recommended them a couple of tînmes now but you don't seem to a host. Have you used them yourself @Hannah1391
Yes, I’ve previously owned two properties in the Cotswolds, both listed on Airbnb via a holiday let agency.
I know the company very well and used them for a remortgage and I noticed a lot of posts about this issue on the forum and so I thought it would be helpful to mention them.
