Hello. After a 2 year break from Hosting. I am planning to relaunch within the next week or so……  just getting everything ready.  South West UK. 

Previously I always left a welcome bottle of wine and milk in fridge, along with essentials. Is this something you recommend still?  Is it better to leave nothing than not the right thing? 

 AirCover???Has anyone had to make a claim? Was it successful? Do those in UK have any recommendations?  Do you use your own insurers for damage and public liability?  Would you mind sharing contacts ?

@Heidi873 unless the wine is alcohol free then you are breaking licensing laws by leaving it for guests even if there is no charge - Crazy but thems the rules.

Try JL Morris insurance brokers for insurance. we don't rely on Aircover and it certainly will not cover many situations where say there is a fire/flood between guests and a standard household policy may be invalidated if you do Airbnb.

Finally recent and very stringent fire regulations have just come in for short term rentals. They are a nightmare!
