Sorry I don't completely understand.
Airbnb generated an incorrect refund, Resolution Request.
You accepted and agreed to an incorrect Resolution Refund Request.
Thenn Airbnb applied the correct type of refund to the Guest. The correct Refund Type did not require your Host Approval.
Gives me the impression that both you as the Host and Airbnb Support made an error in processing the first refund.
My guess would be with such a significant monetary difference that the Guest identified the mistake and rightly demanded a correction.
Which I am not saying accept a mistake loss. I am just saying my impression please correct if wrong
Hi Marie, while I appreciate the comment and observation, I’m not looking for impressions. I’m looking for someone who can help me fix the problem either through a simile experience or hoping someone who actually knows what they are doing from Airbnb support comes across this article and can help make this right.
Sorry, That comment from Jason was from me, I was logged in under the host account I manage that this double refund affected.
What was the resolution? We are going thought something similar and Airbnb is no help.
Hi @Dan18138,
I'm sorry you are going through a similar situation. What has the Support team told you so far?
I wanted to tag in @Sean1478 as well so they can see your reply and hopefully come back to share more insights. 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie

Hi @Dan18138,
I was able to escalate this to a manager and finally able to get reimbursed. It took over a week of continued escalation so I suggest to keep asking for a manager and keep complaining, as much work and annoyance as it is that they don’t have a better process for this and the low level staff won’t be of any help, just don’t give up and provide any evidence you can to support your case.
good luck!
