Airbnb bad publicity will cost us bookings

Dear All,

I see the Guardian is standing up for consumer rights in the UK. Hopefully Airbnb will now modify their current cancellation refund stance to comply with what most people (Which and CMA)  believe is the law in the UK

@Ute42 I would also be impressed except they are in breach of the legislation in the UK!

@Ute42 @Mike-And-Jane0  I read it as the guest cancelled but did not select covid as the reason (they have the option to select it) hence them not receiving their money back. I've had plenty of guests cancel on me citing and choisung covid and they ALL received their money back. Not sure we can blame Airbnb for this one.

But @Mike-And-Jane0

You know Airbnb is actually refunding in line with this legislation.

Guests are getting  a full refund when having to cancel because they cannot travel or the host cannot host because of our Covid lockdown restrictions.

@Helen3 So why on earth didn't they tell the Guardian that! Stupid really to get both the bad publicity and pay back the money.
