I've had nothing but problems since starting on Airbnb. Got an email saying bank account had been verified and awaiting for 5 payments. Customer service say I've been paid. Case get escalated to specialist team, who do not answer messages. Anyone else had this issue. Each time I call I have to relay the whole story. They want letters from bank and say the bank must be holding onto payment. It just sounds like excuses. I will engage with a Lawyer as this has impacted my family.

Hello Andrea, what a nightmare you are going through. I suggest you send them a copy of your Bank statement if you haven't already done it. Usually Air B N B pay promptly even BEFORE the guest checks out, so this very strange.
Lawyers will cos you. Try the suggestion above first.

Hi Carmen23, update, received all funds today to bank account, just turned up no email but I'm thankful their specialist team was able to find where funds went.

They have not paid me since during the exit of our Covid 19 Restrictions been lifted in September 2022, they claim they need a copy of my Government ID documents to undertake a Payment Adjustment. I'm not traveling anywhere and know first hand the nightmare of other persons using my name and details for Identity Fraud.
The way they have treated there Hosts and users is abhorrent.
Don't start me on the discrimination towards under 25 year old adults as that's a serious breach of Human Rights/ Civil Rights.
Suggest you lay a complaint to the Commerce Commission to as we have done recently

Hi yes I am, that was my next avenue. Funds turned up today, 5 days after the specialist team started looking for them. Thankfully.
