Airbnb uses Cloudflare spyware to track users

I use a VPN on my computer.  When I try to log into Airbnb I am blocked and Airbnb displays a message that their server is down.  The server is not down.  The problem is that Airbnb has started using spyware called "Cloudflare" to gather personal data about people who host their homes on Airbnb.  Cloudflare blocks access to Airbnb for users who have VPN installed on their phone or computer.   Don't kid yourself that Airbnb is using Cloudflare to enhance your security.  They use it so they can track your location, the type device you're using and whatever else is possible for a clever spyware coder.  AIRBNB:  Stop using Cloudflare.  You have hosts who just want to prevent Big Tech from tracking our every movement.  Don't force us to choose between using VPN or Airbnb.

My VPN works without any issues:

So does mine @Josh2431  @Till-and-Jutta0

Interesting.  After seeing your post I selected a server in Germany for my VPN connection and had no problem connecting to Airbnb.  But when I switch back to a VPN server in the US and try to log into my hosting account, Cloudflare blocks my login and displays the error message shown below.  Perhaps European privacy laws protect European users from Cloudflare surveillance.

That's really interesting! However there seems to be more than one parameter. Even with a US VPN server it still works for me:

Thanks for raising this important topic @Josh2431

We had a quick browse of Cloudfare and you have raised a matter that may impact on the use of Airbnb by some users in different countries and through using a VPN for whatever reason.

It's understood some users of services that Cloudfare provide services for have been blocked and unable to participate including with there own website.

@Till-and-Jutta0  there has been a legal decision relating to Cloudfare in Germany in recent times that may be worthy of reading.

We are all entitled to Privacy and not being tracked however VPN's also can and do track people's usage -this is common everywhere for "Billing purposes".

It's important also to be respectful and mindful people may use a VPN because of having been tracked and subjected to unsolicited and unlawful behaviors and the Tech industry in general terms should respect Common decency boundaries.

The scary reality is our private and personal information and whereabouts can and have been tracked in a manner that is unprecedented due in part to Y2K "Year 2000" Deregulation era of changes related to Telecommunications and Postal Services sectors amongst others.
