Austria: New reports of airbnb to tax-autorities based on "Digitalen Plattformen-Meldepflichtgesetz (DPMG)"

on 1.1.2023 the law on "Digitalen Plattformen-Meldepflichtgesetz (DPMG)" came into effect. It rules that plattforms like airbnb have to report to tax authorities first time in January 2024 all turnovers of their customers as of 1.1.2023.

I would like to know what exactly airbnb is going to report. e.g. name of guest, date of stay, payment, number of people, etc.

Is there a chance to discuss this with airbnb?

Hi @Alexander156 ! If I'm not mistaken, DPMG is the Austrian implementation of the DAC7 EU Regulation. You can read more about DAC7 and what data is shared here: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/3268

Did you know we have a German language Community Center too? You can connect with lots of other German speaking Hosts, which can be incredibly useful for discussing local regulations like DPMG! You can find the Community Center by clicking on the globe icon in the top right corner and selecting "Deutsch".

Thank you so much, that was exactly what I was looking for.
