When you go to 'your reservations' in first column 'status' always you got in green color 'accepted' instead that I got in yellow 'awaiting payment'.
My understanding of process of payment is when the guests send me booking request Airbnb checking they card details and if everything is ok send to me booking request. There are only 2 options scam or airbnb has faulty payment system . I use other website to get a booking and never happen something like this. if I accepted payment/booking request all is ok.
You are right. It’s 2019 and it is happening to me now. I can’t book plane tickets if my credit card doesn’t go through. The airline won’t hold my seats.. I get a message and try another card or contact my bank right away. Why is it different with Airbnb?
My thoughts exactly. Here I am, without any notice of payment issues, I accept a guest. Now my calendar is blocked and not the first time. With steam coming out of my ears I'm yelling at the computer saying in what universe does AirBnb think it is OK to do this to a host??? I can't book a motel, hotel, or airline with a bad credit card or no payment.
I'm already getting nasty gram notices from AirBnb for not accepting enough guests in my own home. Like a first name and city and state is enough to make me feel safe. Why not add insult in injury!!!
I'm hosting a guest and Ayrbnb did not release the fund , thinks more strange it does not appear on my "earning".
Anyone else experienced that?
Thanks
Christelle
je n ai pas été payé mais le payement est en cours quand vais-je etre payée? sur ma carte banquaire ?
-i still have not receved the payement from my host he has already payed it what can i do ?
I am having the issue of someone requesting a reservation for less than 24 hours out. I approved and then It said Awaiting Payment. An hour later I checked on it and it shows as cancelled. I understand that with my flexible refund policy I should still get the first night's payment because he biked after 3pm the day before check in. Am I understanding this correctly?
Thanx in advance for any assistance.
Experiencing the same thing here. Accepted a guest that tried to book with two different accounts (bc of verification/payment issues), and in the last booking it says "awaiting payment" while not officialy confirmed. And I have no power to cancel the reservation as host until 24hrs has passed. I find this outrageous - I was already a little iffy about the guest from the start, and now (that there yet another problem with payment), I get even more skeptical.
Honestly, I feel robbed of my rights as a host - as I can't cancel when I see needed. I guess I've agreed to this by checking the new "terms" when accepting the booking. I'm very surprised that Airbnb is doing this to its hosts. As a result, it will result in decreaced level of service and trust from the hosts. Reluctantly, I will be much more cautious and judgemental prior to accepting reservations from now on (I dont want to be, because I've only had positive experiences with all guests, and I dont want to be judgemental and think they are "bad" guests just bc they are new to Airbnb and dont have any reviews).
Airbnb, this is NOT in your best interest. Your best interest is keeping your hosts feeling secure and comfortable. I am VERY dissapointed.
So true. This is happening to me right now. And Airbnb is not even responding my requests to cancel the reservation. I'm having a fight with the person who wants me to give him the appartment keys and he even has like 10 hours left to pay. So he basically can stay at the apartment for free one night and then just leave. This is unacceptable.
I had the same issue. If it's a same day instant book that is "Awaiting Payment" your best recourse is to call Airbnb and ask to either cancel if you don't want to host or push the payment to go through if you want to host. They worked with me on canceling penalty free but the problem is it pushes the review surveys, guest was upset he couldn't stay. but i don't care. I'm running a business, not collecting reviews. Instant booking means instant payment. You can't pay you can't stay.

And then you get the nasty gram messages that you are not accepting enough guests (in my own home I might add)!!!
Happened to me also. Is Airbnb ever going to reply ?
Our guest checked out on the 22nd and I have still not received payment.
This just happened to me. I called Airbnb. Their policy is to keep the calendar blocked at the guests leisure "to be fair to everyone". I asked them how it was fair to me that my calendar was blocked, they couldn't answer. They don't care about their hosts, it's all about making money from the guests. I'm so annoyed I'm thinking of taking my property off Airbnb and cancelling my remaining guests.
Hi there... me too having the same problem " awaiting payment"!! What do i do?
Anyone help please...
