Barcelona - Entire Apartment Rental

Hello!

I’m planning on visiting Barcelona for 3 months next fall and would like to rent through Airbnb so that I don’t have to pay the broker fees that come with using idealista. 

I’ve seen some other threads from hosts talking about how they can only rent out rooms in apartments and not whole apartments in Barcelona. 

Do you know if this is still the case or am I missing something since I see listings in Barcelona for entire apartments?

@Eric4781 those who have a permit may rent whole apartments. Look for the registration number presented in the listing. I know of one place where I stayed some years ago that is legit, but would not be suitable for a longer stay.

Why would you want to pay high Airbnb fees and have no legal tenancy rights @Eric4781 ?
