Co-Host management contract

Hey guys - setting my co-hosting business right now and I wanna make sure my first contract is done right! I tried finding help online but can't get any info or examples of contracts and important clauses to include etc. If someone could point me in the right direction or be able to send me an example I'd greatly appreciate it. Also if someone knows important tips or things to avoid😁

When I started cohosting I put together terms including payment, services offered etc and took it to a local solicitor to review @Julius186

You could do something similar with a local lawyer.

Hi @Helen3,

Thank you so much for sharing that thoughtful tip! 🙏 Your approach—drafting formal co-hosting terms and having them reviewed by a solicitor—sets a professional foundation that many new and aspiring co-hosts could learn from. It’s such an important step that often gets overlooked in the excitement of starting out.

If you’re open to it, I’d truly appreciate it if you could share more details about your experience. Specifically:

What key terms did you include in your co-hosting agreement (e.g., scope of services, communication protocols, payout structure)?

Were there any important clauses your solicitor advised you to add or revise?

Have you ever faced a situation where your written agreement protected you or helped clarify a misunderstanding?

If you had the chance to do anything differently, what would that be?

Also, it would be incredibly valuable if you could share your top “do’s and don’ts” for co-hosting based on your personal journey. For example:

What are the most important practices for building trust with a property owner?

What should every co-host avoid when starting a new partnership?

What are some strategies for managing guest communications and expectations professionally?

Lastly, for those of us who want to grow into more professional, full-time co-hosting roles, I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

Where to learn best practices (books, forums, mentors?)

How to present yourself to potential clients with professionalism and clarity

Tools or platforms you recommend using to stay organized and consistent

You’ve clearly put a lot of thought and care into your hosting practices, and I’m certain your experience would be incredibly inspiring to many in this community—especially those of us aiming to take co-hosting to a higher standard.

Thanks again for your contribution, and I hope you’ll consider sharing more of your journey. The community learns and grows so much from members like you.

Hi @Elegant-Homes-Retreat0

Sorry I don't have time to provide that level of detail but you could certainly ask those questions on the cohost group if you're a member .

Hi @Helen3,

Thank you so much for your quick response—I completely understand and appreciate your honesty.

I’ll definitely follow your suggestion and explore those questions within the co-host group community. Just knowing that you've taken the time to seek legal guidance in your own co-hosting journey is already helpful and a reminder of the importance of setting strong foundations.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, and for all the valuable insights you continue to share with the community.

What was your first step in starting your co-hosting business? I’m not where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
