Seams like "Aircover" stands for no cover or talking to the air.
an unauthorized party by first time guest left the place we just renovated last year in ruins . Now Aircover "deprecate" my belongings? How can I replace things with deprecation? I bought commercial grade new and Im not interested replacing with used goods. Airbnb is not covering us as advertised and the worst is that there is nobody to talk to. Does anyone know how to bypass this once in a few days email reply? Sounds like a class action to me. After 5 years of hosting its time for direct booking and holding deposits.

@Lior10. Your listings are high end. As I and many hosts here have posted Aircover offerings are very limited. You should speak to an insurance broker about getting proper cover that will provide new for old replacement you are seeking going forward.
If maintaining high end properties is critical to your success then imo you also need better guest screening, maybe with a more direct approach.
By the way, love you're in VFX. So is my daughter. Keep up the energy as you are clearly a great host.
@Lior10 Aircover, if anyone bothers to read it, only pays a depreciated amount for damage. In many ways this is fair because a 10 year old carpet would really need replacing soon anyway. Other than potentially misleading advertising Airbnb has done nothing wrong so a class action would be pointless even if you had not already agreed never to join one (you did read the terms and conditions when you listed I hope).
There is no way to bypass the Aircover system - Perhaps put your energy into your direct booking website and a proper short term rental insurance policy. I trust the building at least is properly insured?
my discussed property is 11 month passed full renovation. all is commercial grade new lux furnishing. applying depreciation is ridiculous. all new and top of the line. I was expecting airbnb to help the recovery so I can host again. this is what I pay them for.not having a person to speak to is not appropriate. seams like direct booking is my better option.
Sorry to hear about your experience with such high end properties do you not have CCTV so you can ensure only those who book are using your properties.
I presume you've opened a claim under the guarantee in which case you should have a contact you can liaise with for your claim.

I was just hopeful i can speak with someone ofer the phone as they credit me $50 bucks for $250 set that is 3 month old. Remember that nicer listings collect more airbnb fees . They are making 10s of thousands of dollars from my listings every year so if for once they didn't screen well a first time user they should at least be helpful.
