Double Payment

Double Payment

Thought you'd want to know that AirBnB just paid me $3,412.87 on July 30, 2020 for guest stays in 2018.

This is a double payment - it was just transferred into my PayPal account. Did you intend to pay me twice? Can I keep the money?

Or, is someone on the inside of your company trying to steal from you?

Perhaps just a computer glitch - or not.  Anyway, I've tried to contact AirBnB several times to sort this out, but I just don't ever get a response back from a real person - perhaps too much automation.  Seems like you just don't have a help article on over-payments, or double payments.  🙂

Please feel free to give me a call **

Finally - If I don't hear back from someone, I guess I'll just keep the money, because I don't know how to send the money back to you with PayPal.

Let me know if you'd like your money back.

@Richard--Sherryl-and-Jaymie0  This is a discussion forum for hosts and guests, not Airbnb customer service. No one here has access to your account nor will call you. Their CS dept. appears to be non-functional now. I guess just wait to hear back from them at some point. They'll probably claw the over-payment back in 2022 😜

Interesting, though, that you've received a double payment for stays completed back in 2018, when most hosts here are complaining that they aren't receiving their payments for at all for recent stays. There appear not to be any competent techies in their company.
