I'd like to have UK hosts's opinions on this as the law probably differs per country. I'm based in the UK.
A guest who's checking in in a few days is asking me if she can ask her bank to send her new card to my home address. I once let a guest do it but he was (and still is) a close friend of mine who was staying temporarily with me.
Would it be a problem if I let her use my address as the delivery address for her new bank card? Would I be breaking any laws? Could there be any future issues?
Pedro
There is the possibility that your address could be used to obtain a N.I number, or to open a bank account etc. which might have future implications - more post arriving at your address, for example.
Your guest can have her card sent to a branch of the bank for her to collect.
@Pedro1613 yes as Julia says , never allow such a thing . They can pick it up from the local bank . Send them the banks addess and lock your letterbox H
Thanks!
Hi Julia
Thanks very much! I've suggested she asks her bank if she can collect from a branch in London.
