Has a sauna been worth it?

Hey all,

I’m working on putting together my second property/listing, and I haven’t found much data or threads on saunas. The consensus is very hit or miss on the ROI of hot tubs. I have always loved the idea of a barrel sauna. 

So for those with a dry or wet sauna, have you seen an increase in average nightly rate and/or bookings since you installed yours? Thanks for any insights.

Hi @Ricky-and-Lilly0 , I just purchased a $9k 4 person sauna to incorporate into my 5 bedroom listing.

I am also trying to get ideas on safety sighns and things to post for liability release with my guests.

Ive been in several saunas over the years and love the benefits!

Okay, well i'll update as i find more info on airbnb incorporating a sauna in listings and my own build.

A pain to maintain or keep clean?

I hear dry saunas are much better for hygiene and cleanliness

I have yet to receive any answers about my outdoor barrel sauna. Until then I won't be adding to my listings.
