Elec rates in Philippines sre twice that of N America. People leave A/C on and go out all day. Elec costsa can be 40% of daily rate. I installed a meter in unit,include 8 kwh per day in daily rate and charge for any over the cap. Posted in my house rules, I explain on check in and so far no real complaints. Some are nervous, but it is works out, no waste of resources. My elec bill is less than half before i installed the meter.
i'm curious to hear what your actual bill is per quarter. @George1506 my farm's bill is @$2000 per quarter, we've just installed solar and looking forward to seeing that bill go down, but Sth Australia has insanely high energy costs. We don't use electricity for heating in winter, I still prefer wood fires as they create a radiant heat that actually heats the whole building, but firewood has doubled in price too these past 5 years.
