Hosting in lockdown.

Hosting in lockdown.

I have seen on local listings that a host in my area has been taking guests in February and we are in a lockdown, how is this possible?

@Marie6145  I hope you’re well.

There are certain reasons guests could be booking for that are within the rules- such as for business, isolation, safety from domestic abuse and so on.

As we live in a very rural,tourist area and from the content of the reviews It looks like the trips were for leisure purposes, annoying when people are going by the rules and others not!

@Marie6145  that’s annoying indeed- as calendars haven’t been automatically blocked as they were during the first lockdown, it does leave scope for going around the rules.

@Marie6145 We have had 3 ( I think) bookings over lockdown from various workers. If hosts near you are really taking holiday makers then that is very sad as it will encourage Airbnb to block calendars which would have lost us our legal bookings!
