Hi,

I’m new to hosting & living in Thailand . I’ve just had my first booking & have noticed that AirBnB have attached a message saying that I must inform the Thai govt of new bookings.

Does anyone know what the story is behind this please?

Thanks

Trevor

Hi, I am Thai and I live in Phuket, To me it seems you have not done your homework regarding STR in Thailand,

Your property needs to be registered on the Thai immigration site first, bit of a slow process as you have to wait for them to send you a password after you have registered.

You are then required to register every guest details you have staying with you, dates of arrival and departure dates passports and all that stuff,

It used to be you had to do it within 24 hours now I think in Phuket it's 7 days, you can get fined for not doing it,

Im sure if you live in Thailand as a foreigner you have registered yourself when you apply for a visa renewal a TM-30, Thats what it's all about.
