House insurance
Hi,
I am struggling to find a company that will do house insurance for hosts of Airbnb in the UK. Has anybody managed to find a company that provide this?
Thanks in advance
Emma.

I didn’t as I presumed a smaller company and broker would be expensive. But the only thing I did find is that Admiral offer a Bolt on to cover you for hosting paid guests, but only for 90 days.

@Christina-Emma0 You will find JL Morris Insurance. Brokers specialise in this type of insurance.

@Christina-Emma0 Sometimes brokers for specialist insurance are more expensive because they specialise in higher risk insurance. We insure our apartments through the specialist brokers and our attached house through the internet as they are more expensive for a normal level of risk.

Commercial insurance is always going to be more expensive then domestic insurance but is a tax deductible expense that you can claim for against your STR business @Christina-Emma0

Thanks for sharing @Christina-Emma0 , Helen and Mike have shared some follow comments based on their hosting experience as well. I was wondering if you got a chance to consider those comments?
Have you finalized the insurance with the above provider you mentioned?
