How does taxes work for Airbnb?
I started doing Airbnb in March and I live in Maryland, but the rental property is in Texas. For taxes, do I file in Maryland, Texas, or both? And when people file their Airbnb taxes, do they usually end up owing or getting money back?

Best to talk to an accountant regarding your questions; especially one familiar with STRs and what deductions are acceptable on your taxes to reduce your taxable income.

Airbnb has a tax guide for Hosts but make it very clear you need to contact a tax accountant and not rely soley on the guide they provide as a reference source. It's a good overview and you can share it with your accountant:
