How to Contact Airbnb Lobbyists

Hi folks,

Does anyone know how to locate and contact Airbnb's contract lobbyists if we've identified a town that is trying to formulate a policy? I have proposed an Airbnb in a small town that does not have mature legislation for short term rentals other than to consider it at planning commission and town council meetings with a lot of possible misinterpretation of vague city codes. There is some very loud community opposition to allowing Airbnb's, and there's support from others. I have heard that Airbnb has contract lobbyists to help guide these sorts of things, but I don't know how to alert them. The state in this case is Virginia.

Thanks so much,

Rafi

@Rafael311   Airbnb's euphemism for its lobbying department is the "Public Policy Team." You might try DM'ing them on Twitter:

You can also connect with other local hosts in their Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/254194682363263 .

Airbnb needs to do a much better job with this and have a more public contact for lobbying. Madera county just posted an new ordinance  that would likely shut down 1000 perfectly fine Airbnb's outside of Yosemite Natioanal Park. We need support now. There should be a much easier way to reach out to Airbnb for assistance. 16 million a year in revenue in this county for Airbnb.
