1) Check if it is legal to rent your property on Airbnb

2) Check your mortgage company allows it

3) Find a suitable insurance policy for your listing

4) Create a listing (just dive in and follow the steps) but don't publish just yet

5) Research your pricing by looking at other listings in your area

6) Remember Airbnb charge gusts 14.2%+tax and the host 3%+tax

7) Sort out who will clean and maintain your space and who will interact with guests

Do you own the apartment ? Or do you rent ? If you're a renter and wish to sublet, clear this with your landlord first (may not be allowed, check your contract).

Check with your town and county governments to see if short term rentals are legal in your neighborhood. Some cities have specific laws regarding rentals so you may need a license, health certificate, inspection, proof of insurance, etc.
