I Paid my airbnb months ago but host says he hasn't received anything

So I booked an apartment in my hometown for me and my fiancé to show her where I grew up and such over xmas. Anyway, I booked the place in November, and everything went smoothly. Showed up in December, stayed for 8 days and left. Now, I know I've paid on my end cause my debit card was charged to the tune of the 700 or so bucks listed, but the host claims he hasn't been paid and is sending me increasingly aggressive messages implying that I somehow have avoided paying but still got the reservation to go through. Yeah, I know. Anyway, I went to 'trips' thing on the mobile app and pulled the receipt which clearly states the amount paid etc, and sent the dude a screenshot. Actually two, one of the whole page and one zoomed in on the 'amount paid' part.

Three days later he gets back to me and says that doesn't constitute a receipt (even though it clearly says receipt in the top corner)  but only a booking confirmation. I'm kinda getting the feeling he's trying to pull a scam  or is missing something obvious somehow, but on the chance he's not, is there a known issue with payments not being paid out to the host for some reason? Is there a way for me to get a 'better' receipt somehow? I'd go into my mobile banking and check but I'm travelling for work and I didn't bring the dongle to login so I won't be able to for a week or so.

@Asbjørn--Bjorn-0  This forum is absolutely over run with complaints by hosts who are missing payouts. It's not a new thing either, by any means. I would suggest you call ABB and ask them what they did with your payment.

@Asbjørn--Bjorn-0  The host likely doesn't read hosting forums, so isn't aware that Airbnb has been withholding lots of payment for no apparent reason, other than that they can. So the host is assuming that the problem is that you didn't pay. One host on another forum said she had been waiting months to get paid with Airbnb giving her the runaround. She finally contacted the guests for the 6 reservations she hadn't been paid for, letting them know she hadn't received her payouts, they were upset that Airbnb was hanging onto their money, instead of paying their host, they all phoned Airbnb and asked what had happened to their payments and the host suddenly got paid the next day!

It's too bad that this host is being agressive about it, but like I said, he/she is probably unaware that payouts have been a problem for hosts. Maybe just message back, saying you've been made aware that lots of hosts haven't gotten paid when the guest has certainly paid, and let them know you're going to contact Airbnb to ask where your money is?
