Just received a very lengthy letter from ERB Inspections in regards to permits and inspections.   Has anyone  else in the area received such a letter.   Would like to hear from you. Please

Hi @Richard1858 , While we wait for support from other Hosts, how are you managing these inspections and permits? Has the process already taken place for your listing?

Would you mind sharing your experience with other Hosts? 🌻

@Richard1858 I am in Carbon County. There was already a zoning permit for the house so I just needed a inspection permit from the Penn Forest Township for short term rentals and they sent someone to do the inspection and I had the permit by close of business that day.  All I needed from county was a license number and they did that over the phone. Don’t know anything about ERB.

Richard,

The Pennsylvania Construction Codes Academy has a class coming up addressing this issue as well as other questions.  "This introductory course is ideal for any municipal member dealing with Short Term Rentals such as, but not limited to, the Zoning Officer, Code Enforcement Officer, Building Code Official and municipal leader as well as Short Term Rental owners."  There may be some helpful information provided.  Best of luck.  **
