LA Tax Implications

Hi all - I am in the middle of the most confusing spiral with LA. We got a message we owe YEARS worth of taxes for our ONE UNIT that we only put on Airbnb very sparingly. I am extremely worried and confused and not getting clear direction. Does someone have any experience with this?

@Paula I have not faced any notices or similar to what OP described. However, we are very thorough and careful about how we manage and pay taxes. Would need more info about said message. Who is from? City? Platform? What does it say exactly? Etc. Without more specific info, would be hard to comment on or assess what exactly might be going on. If there are some more general questions on LA taxes or regulatory compliances, I can also help with that.
