Hi, where can I get a Georgia license.for a temporary rental airbnb.
Hello @Carmen2802 👋
Welcome to the Community Center! It's been a short while since you posted and I wondered if you managed to find out about the license you need?
I'm tagging some hosts from Georgia, who may be able to support, just in case: @Maia223, @Aleksandre16 and @Levan49 can you offer @Carmen2802 any support/advice with getting a license?
Dear Rebecca, thank you.
I had issue with cancellation. I canceled the accepted guest and received the debt 140usd. I have not hosted since … I am looking forward relive my listing this summer, from July
Hello Carmen, I am local airbnb host, as I know you should contact www.rs.ge for airbnb rental license @Rebecca @Carmen2802
Thank you.
Where in Georgia (USA) is your property? Georgia does not have any state-wide regulations for short term rentals, but hosts are required to pay sales and hotel-motel taxes. Many cities in the state have their own regulations for short term rentals, so it's important for investors to research the local laws in the market where they plan to invest.
You will need to register with the Georgia Department of Revenue in order to be able to pay sales and hotel-motel (lodging) taxes. If you only rent out through a third-party vacation rental marketplace (like Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.) that remits taxes on behalf of the owner, you don’t need to pay hotel-motel tax. Registration can be done online, after which the applicant will receive a Georgia Tax Identification Number.

If not in Atlanta, contact your local government municipality tax office.
