Lost Superhost Status

Does this sound right?

I was told when guests cancel their reservation this effects our super host status. According to Airbnb rep I had 3 guests cancel and I also had to cancel one (first time in many years) I called Airbnb within 30 minutes after I accepted a booking I realized I could not keep.  I was charged  $100. 

This seems very unfair and does not make sense to me..

@Kathy291 Guests cancelling do not. You cancelling will mean it is up to a year  until you could get Superhost status as your cancellation rate will exceed 1% unless you have an awful lot of bookings.
