New Delaware Accommodations Intermediary Law

New Delaware Accommodations Intermediary Law

Anyone have info around the new Delaware law starting Jan 2025 where we are required to have an Accommodations Intermediary and if Airbnb qualifies? Or if we as the home owner can obtain the license? And how to schedule an inspection? I couldn’t find clear information online.

Hello @Dana1617

That's a good question!

Did you try checking in with other local hosts near you? It might be worth connecting with some of them through our Host clubs, if there are any in your area, for their insights. You can find a local Host Club here 👉 Local Host Clubs

Let us know what you find out!

On our facebook group for DE AirBNB hosts, it was announced that AirBNB will be acting as accommodations intermediary.  I have yet to confirm that myself, but it would be good news.  Please see the publication that DE put out on the subject stating that we as hosts do not need to obtain the license as we would not be considered the intermediary:
