I am new here and happy to have found the Community Team after a few years of hosting. I was actually guided here by a colleague for a specific reason I will get to later. I appreciate the intro note I received and look forward to opportunities to contribute.
So, I do have a specific question that I hope this is the appropriate avenue to pose it.
I am a board member of HEAL Trafficking (www.healtrafficking.org), a nonprofit working to end human trafficking through a public health approach. We’re exploring the possibility of being nominated for an Airbnb Community Fund Grant, which supports organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities. I understand that nominations must come through a local Host Club, and I wanted to ask if anyone could kindly share more information about how to initiate that process—or how HEAL might be considered for nomination.
A nomination could go a long way in helping us expand our reach and deepen our impact in preventing and responding to human trafficking.
Any guidance you might have would be greatly appreciated.
Warmly,
George

Hello @George2323 👋
Thank you so much for coming to the Community Center. I just wanted to share that the Community Center is here to support hosts in a unique way, distinct from customer support. This community forum is a lovely space for hosts to engage in meaningful conversations about hosting, offering support, advice and sharing their journey.
I would recommend that you check the official Airbnb Community Fund page or reach out to Airbnb support for updated information on submission dates, proposal steps, and region-specific requirements.
Best,
Rebecca

Hi @George2323 👋,
Welcome to the Community Center, and thank you for the incredible work you’re doing with HEAL Trafficking—it's truly meaningful and inspiring.
Regarding the Airbnb Community Fund Grant, you're correct that nominations typically go through local Host Clubs, as Airbnb aims to support nonprofits that have a direct impact on communities connected to hosting. Since you're already an experienced host and a part of this community, you’re in a strong position to engage with local hosts and explore nomination possibilities.
A few suggestions that might help:
You can connect with your local Host Club via Airbnb’s Host Club page (https://www.airbnb.com/hostclubs) and see if there’s a club in your area.
Once connected, consider sharing HEAL’s mission with the group—many hosts are passionate about social causes and may be open to supporting a nomination.
You can also keep an eye on updates posted on the Airbnb Community Fund page, as application cycles and nomination details may vary by region and year.
Wishing you the very best with your efforts, and I hope HEAL gets the recognition and support it deserves through this program. Please feel free to share more about your work anytime—this community is always open to learning and contributing where we can.
