Hello. I am setting up my hosting account and the only option was to enter an EIN in the business details. My business is an LLC and only uses an SSN, as an EIN is not required for an LLC. I don't see an option to select an SSN. How do I change that or do I just enter my SSN in the EIN field? Thanks!

Though an LLC does not require an EIN. The IRS gives you an EIN upon request and it really doesn't matter if you have or don't have employees. It is more like a SSN for your business which protects you from having to provide your persona SSN number for business uses. Check with the IRS website before you decide.
I would suggest contacting Airbnb to verify, but If you don't have an EIN, then the SSN is what I would enter. Many Hosts only use a SSN for the LLCs.

Thanks @Marie8425, this is what I ended up doing. I requested it online and received an assigned EIN immediately. It still is too bad they don't give the SSN option though. You get the option on the tax forms, but not on AirBnb under the business details.
Hi @Michael9751 😊,
Thank you for asking this question here!
What do you think of our hosts' advice? Do you still have any concerns?
Would you like to give Airbnb Customer Support a call as suggested by Joan? If so, do you have their contact information?
Don’t hesitate to let me know!
