Dear Bhumika,

I completely understand your stress.

I can give you some suggestions to try to  boost your visibility on Airbnb:

- put a more detailed and emotional description of your Airbnbs with all the amenities and spaces that your apartment offer to the guests, why a potential guests have to choose you and not other Airbnb in the same area? What you give of a unique experience that others do not have the possibility to give.

- more photos and evaluate to ask to a professional Airbnb photographer to show in the best way possible your place.

- consider to start with and Airbnb promotions of 20% discount until you reach the milestone of 5/10 reviews of 5 stars on a row than redefine your price with the market or even more expensive than the market.

This Is my personal opinion, than of course i don t know your area so i just give my view point

Hello @Andrea9241 , Thank you for your suggestions. I will definitely work on my photos. However as you mentioned description should be detailed, but I have seen many YouTube tutorials and all mention that description should be short and on-point because people spend less time reading. My location is Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Jaipur is beautiful international tourist destination and wedding hub. Although my Airbnb place is a little away from the main Jaipur old city, that’s why I think I am struggling the most.

Hi @Bhumika9

Think of your photos as your silent salesperson..

At the moment you only have 5 photos per listing, which is quite limited. I highly suggest adding more photos to fully showcase your space and help guests visualize their stay.

Include photos of:

  • What it looks like outside (front entrance, building façade, street view)
  • Any outdoor areas such as a patio, balcony, garden, or terrace where guests can sit, relax, or enjoy their morning coffee
  • Different angles of each room
  • Close-up details (quality linens, amenities, welcome tray, toiletries, workspace setup)
  • Lighting during daytime and evening to show ambiance

Also, don’t forget to write detailed captions for each photo. Best of luck! Happy Hosting!

Hello Patricia, Thank you for your suggestions. Yes I will update my photo gallery for sure. Regarding description, i have seen many YouTube tutorials and all mention that description should be short and on-point because people spend less time reading. Do you think it is right?

Hi @Bhumika9

Not all guests fail to read the listing details. I’m also an Airbnb guest myself, and I always make it a point to carefully read the full description, amenities, and house rules before booking.

There are many responsible guests who genuinely take the time to understand what they’re booking location, layout, potential noise, cancellation policy, and specific house guidelines. Clear and detailed listings actually help attract these kinds of guests.

While it’s true that some people may overlook information, it’s not accurate to assume that no one reads. As both a host and a guest, I’ve seen how important transparency and clear communication are. The more detailed and upfront we are, the more likely we are to attract guests who appreciate and respect the space.

Alright @Patricia2526, thank you so much for making it so clear. I found it really helpful. I hope you have a happy and joyful day.

Always welcome @Bhumika9

Hi

first of all, take a breath. This is more common than you think, especially in the first few months.

Low bookings usually come down to one (or a mix) of these areas:

• Pricing not aligned with market demand
• Listing visibility (title, keywords, photo order)
• Low click-through rate from search
• Limited reviews affecting conversion
• Seasonality in your area

A few quick things you can check immediately:

  1. Compare your nightly rate to similar listings with 5+ reviews in your area.

  2. Review your first 5 photos — are they scroll-stopping?

  3. Check if your title clearly highlights your strongest selling point.

  4. Make sure your calendar is fully open and minimum stays aren’t blocking bookings.

If you'd like, I can help you pinpoint exactly what's limiting visibility and bookings. Sometimes it’s just 1–2 structural issues that make a big difference.

Hello @Esther-Chukwu0, thank you for taking out your time to give me suggestions. Hope you are doing well. It would be definitely so great if you could help me pinpoint  exactly what’s affecting my booking. Thank you.

Hi @Bhumika9

you’re very welcome — happy to help.

To pinpoint what’s affecting your bookings, I’d usually look at a few key things: pricing vs nearby listings, minimum stay settings, cancellation policy, photos, and how your calendar is structured (gaps, weekday rates, etc.). Most booking issues come from one or two of these being slightly off.

If you’re comfortable sharing, you can tell me:
• your average nightly rate
• minimum stay
• whether you’re getting views but no bookings
• or if bookings suddenly dropped

I manage short-term rentals and part of what I do is audit listings like this to find exactly where demand is being lost. I’m happy to point you in the right direction.

Let me know a bit more about your setup and I can be more specific.

Esther Chukwu

Hello again @Esther-Chukwu0, hope you are having an amazing day. I got so many good suggestions from so many good people like you. I am so happy and overwhelmed.

So I am hosting a 2 bedroom apartment and the nightly rate is about $30-$40 per night. My minimum stay is 1 night. I was informed my the Airbnb customer care that I am getting views however I am not getting any bookings.

Hi Bhumika9

thank you for sharing more details — that helps a lot.

If you’re getting views but no bookings, it usually means guests are interested but something in the listing is stopping them from converting. Based on what you shared, I’d focus on three things first: your pricing compared to similar 2-bedroom listings nearby, how your listing looks visually (photos + description), and how your minimum stay and calendar are structured.

When I help hosts troubleshoot this, I normally review the listing itself to spot where demand is being lost — things like whether the price matches the presentation and whether the setup is attracting the right type of guest.

It might be easier to look at your listing directly so I don’t just guess. If you’d like, you can send me the link in a private message and I can point out what’s most likely affecting your bookings.

Your listings are incomplete and missing entire sections in the Listing Editor and you are missing important amenities as well? This is most likely why you aren't getting booked

Airbnb says you don't have important amenities like Hot Water and Essentials (TP, soap, towels, linens). Since these are important amenities for most guests,: your listing is probably not appearing well in guest search results:

Suggest you go through all your listings and choose All in the amenities section and check off each amenity you do have. Then go to "Edit" and add the additional details Airbnb wants as indicated by the pencil icon.
