Occupancy rates
As new to AIRBNB ...I have been advised by AIRBNB to reach out to this group as to whether to host a property. Before making a decision I was hoping to get an indicative occupancy rate in a particular area, TS10 Redcar in the UK. The two questions:
1. I'm unsure if this data is availabe
2. Whether Hosts in the TS10 United Kingdom are willing to provide this information?
Thanks in advance to those willing to assist a new host!

@Ian51242 You can buy data from Airdna.com. Not sure it covers areas in particular detail though. Before you start though does the place you are considering comply with the requirements of its Fire safety assessment? Even new build houses/flats ar unlikely to comply with the Government's advice available on gov.com.

You would need to do your own market research on this . @Ian51242
who do you see as your target market in terms of potential guests?
Many markets are oversaturated but as @Mike-And-Jane0 says agencies like Airdna will give you an indication of likely demand and supply but it can take a while to grow your business as a host .
Make sure you've only done your research on legislation you need to comply with . Google 'The Pink Book' .

Hi @Ian51242,
Welcome to the Community Center, it's lovely to have you with us and to read that you're considering becoming a host. Whereabouts in the UK are you based? 🙂
Mike and Helen shared some suggestions with you, so i wanted to check in and see if you'd taken a decision since posting your questions here earlier this month?
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Emilie
