Over collection of SC taxes

SC has a 7% accommodations tax. 

Airbnb collects 8% most the time. Sometimes 9%. 

Anyone else see similar problems?

According to the HELP-info it is 5% + 2% + some variations in "local taxes collected by the State"  (?)

Airbnb doesn’t collect my local taxes (3%) because my county does not allow the state to manage the collection, so Airbnb should be collecting 7%. And even if there was some reason why 8 was appropriate why is it not consistent? I have complained to them but nothing happens.
