Hi everybody,

I just started to be a host and my first guest arrived today with a few day appointments. I just wondering, when I will receive a payment and how?

Also, I wonder about; can ı take payment as cash?

@Levent18 It is good to see you have fully researched how Airbnb works before going live! 

No you cannot collect cash

You should be paid by whatever payment method you chose when setting up your listing

It can take up to 30 days to receive your first payment. After that it comes down to your payment choice but typically 1 - 6 days after check in.

As I understand, the guest already paid the payment for his reservation. It's kind of in the Airbnb money pool now and waiting for transferring to my bank account.

Firstly, I have to add a bank account or debit card to take my payment.

then Airbnb will approve it and send money to me.

Please correct me if I wrote something wrong while in the payment process as I understand. 🙂

@Levent18 Yes that is right but Airbnb keep the money until the guest checks in. I believe Paypal can be quicker than using a bank account for payments but I have no idea how Paypal Worksop if it is available in Turkey.

@Levent18  Filling out your payout preference ("payment method" is for guests) information is really something you should have done before you put up your listing. 

Understanding how you get paid as a host is very basic information, so if you didn't read up on that, you probably haven't read up about reviews, cancellations, the difference between an Inquiry and a Booking Request, or anything else.

Take the time to read all the information provided for hosts on the Airbnb site, so you have a basic understanding of how it all works. Otherwise you could run into a lot of problems.
