Payout for extension not received.

Hi Hosts, I've noticed that every time a guest extends his stay, I do. not get the payout for the extension. In December, a guest extended by one day through the platform. I did not get the payout and I had to follow up with Airbnb multiple times which was frustrating. I now have a guest who extended his stay by 4 days. He checks out tomorrow and I am yet to get the payout. I have contacted Airbnb and asked them to follow up. They are claiming that the guest does not have enough funds in his credit card but my argument is that the extension should not have gone through then. This is a systems failure on the part of Airbnb. I'll keep following up because it is their job to ensure that payouts are made in time. I have learnt my lesson. Anytime a guest asks for an extension, I'll be contacting Airbnb first before. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
