Permits and Special Licenses for hosts in the AirBnB Community

I am new here and I was curious if someone would shed some light on if there are any permits or special license needed to run Airbnb within tourist spots in Mexico?

@Cheryl727  Well, of course. You would have to research the local requirements as far as business licences, as that varies depending on local jurisduction. But no matter where in the country you are, you must register your business with the Mexican tax bureau, and file and pay taxes. 

None of this has anything to do with being in a tourist area. It doesn't matter what area of the country you are in.

I have been told there are a litany of licenses and documents that must be filed, apparently relatively new requirement but I cannot find any info

Is this actually being enforced?

I already have airbnb pay all the necessary taxes.

You need to check with local government for your area about any STR restrictions @Lisa620
