What about the cost of equipment photography versus hiring someone to do it 

It doesn't seem like rocket science ok any advice

Hello @George2355 ,

Photography is an art, and many rules of painting apply to it such as highlights and shadows, composition, subject and background, and color scheme. Each picture should convey something. Taking photos of a property is not a police report. It is a story.

If you have a critical artistic eye, get proper equipment such as a wide-angle camera without distortion, and perhaps this will develop into a hobby once you have the gear. If you do not, it is better to hire a professional as doing it yourself could be a waste of time and money.

Remember that part of taking photos is staging.

Three more things:

Turn on all the lights

Do not move or change anything during the photo session

Close the toilet lids

This is just the beginning. Look for more information and tips on how to photograph properties and then  decide if you want to do it yourself or get someone professional

Professional photography is the number one best ROI you can do for your listing. It can be written off as a business expense and the cost will pay for itself very quickly with increased bookings.

Only select a professional photographer that has experience with Airbnb's. Real estate photography is very different than shooting an Airbnb property.
