Hi, my husband and I have renovated our place - a one bedroom flat located in the Peak District, UK. Our town receives a LOT of visitors. We are looking to go travelling between mid Dec-mid April and of course, would love to rent our place out during that time, to help with the finances. I'm struggling to find any info on the average amount of bookings etc that we could expect. I know this will never be an exact science, but any insights would be helpful!

Try Airdna (presumably you've already checked to see if there is licensing /STR restrictions in your area? @Ellie536

@Ellie536 You also need to worry about invalidating your house insurance and, if you have a mortgage, you may be in breach of that as well. Also make sure you comply with the new fire regulations for short term accommodation - they are more onerous than the building regs. Finally, if I haven't put you off by now, you will need a good cleaner/co host to run the place when you are away.
