Residency status rule change for Foreign Residents who collect rental income in Mexico

I just bought a condo in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. I have temporary residency. I even got my RFC and Mexican bank account and I am all set and ready to publish and list my condo on Airbnb, so I can cover the expenses while I'm not living there. There's just one snag: I have found info online that states I am required to request "permiso para trabajar" from INM in order to be allowed to rent the condo. Does anyone have more info about this and whether it is true that I am required to get permission to work in order to list my own condo on Airbnb?

Hello @Hesper0 👋

Thanks so much for reaching out via the Community Center. I'm not sure if this is similar to your question, but it might help:

I had a little search for 'Mexican RFC Tax' in the search bar and came a cross a couple of threads that might support you:

Has anyone been successful with adding their Mexican RFC info and receiving a tax form?
