STRA Registration in Australia

Hi,

I am very new to hosting.

I was going to apply for STRA for looks like I can't do it with an owner occupier mortgage for even a short period of time. If I live in that house for most of the year, can I not rent it on Airbnb for a few weeks and stay on my owner occupier loan. All guidance says that I would have to convert it into a investment loan before getting STRA.

Any help would be appreciated.
