My nightly rate is $69 and for a 3 night booking ($207) I pay a service fee of $8. I think the guest pays the same on top. I have always accepted this as reasonable. I have read of high priced Airbnb listings (like around $200+) attracting higher % service fees but I don’t have that experience.

Can't imagine where you got that idea. My private room is $28-$32/night and my service fee is 3%, just like all the other hosts. @Antonio2519
